To be memoralized in the laughter of children

I’m happy to announce that the City of Corvallis, Oregon is dedicating a new ADA playground to my father. The ribbon cutting ceremony for the Ronald Naasko Playground will be at 3 pm Saturday, August 4 at Riverfront Park, just south of the fountain.

Dad lobbied for this playground during the last several years of his life. It took a bit longer to make it happen, as things so often do, but thanks to the diligent work of Access Benton County, a group that advocates for accessible public spaces, and his amazing community of friends, the playground is now coming to life.

I can think of no greater honor than to be memorialized in the laughter of children playing.

A big thank you to Corvallis Parks and Recreationand Friends of Corvallis Parks and Recreation.
