Here’s another blackout poem from The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben*, a book my daughter gave me for Christmas 2016. It was the first text I thought of when I saw this week’s Blackout Poetry Challenge (@blackoutpoetrychallenges) on Instagram. Green is the color I can’t get enough of, even in the lush Pacific Northwest.
Algae rain washes
down the trunks of moss skin.
Up top a bird nests.
