It was a magical Christmas Eve and Day in Seattle this year. It snowed!
The timing could not have been more perfect. Big, fluffy flakes began to fall at 4 p.m. just as we were all arriving home, three of us from some Christmas Eve shopping, and my daughter from a busy day of wrapping up sales at the bookstore where she works.
I started a big pot of soup cooking, and we decorated our tree. This is the first year ever we’ve waited until Christmas Eve to trim our tree. Serendipitous, don’t you think?
How rare is a Christmas Eve and Day snow in Seattle? It’s never happened before—at least in the 120 years that records have been kept.
We were all healthy, happy, and together — in our snow globe.
