Three Haiku

It’s been unusually cold here in the Pacific Northwest. It snowed on New Year’s Eve and it lingered with the brisk temperatures.

It’s been so cold even ice people are bundling up.

Our usual gray skies, mild temps and rain have been replaced with blue skies, sunshine and temperatures cold enough to see your breath. While many complained it was too cold, I welcomed the reminder of my Colorado childhood. And I welcomed the visual reminder to breathe.
