found poem no. 3: loneliness

A found poem from a page of E.B. White’s Charlotte’s Web.

loneliness awoke at six
friendless
one day just like another
the banging, the stirring
the slop

No need to be concerned friends. Despite the sadness this poem expresses, I’m feeling great. This is a poem from another day. From one of those days we all have from time to time. Today, is not that day. It’s just the day I’m choosing to share it.
